She has actively participated as a board member of NAMI and has contributed to international health blogs and newspaper articles aimed at decreasing the stigma surrounding psychiatry. Since 2017, Dr. Hussain has been a Clinical Associate Professor at the Stanford University School of Medicine. She served on the Education Committee in 2022 and is currently the Associate Program Director for the CLP Fellowship, focusing on enhancing the educational experience for fellows and participating in various clinical initiatives, particularly in transplant psychiatry and psychosomatic medicine.
