Biography

Finbar Foley, MD, specializes in pulmonary critical care medicine. He manages outpatients with various pulmonary diseases and symptoms related to lung function, as well as cares for critically ill patients in the hospital, consulting on complicated pulmonary issues. Coming from a family of physicians, becoming a doctor was a natural consideration for him. Prior to his medical career, he worked as a 4th-grade teacher, which helped him realize his passion for teaching while healing. Dr. Foley finds pulmonology and critical care to be a fascinating field due to the combination of medical and procedural interventions available, and the fundamental value of helping people breathe. As a critical care specialist, he has the rewarding experience of working with the sickest and most vulnerable patients and their families. While it is not always possible to save every patient, providing comfort to patients and families during difficult moments is a tremendous gift and challenge that he embraces.
