Biography

Finlay Walton is a Research Associate in Biomedical Engineering at the University of Glasgow's James Watt School of Engineering. He is the co-director of the Microelectronics Lab (meLAB) and specializes in the design and nanofabrication of flexible implantable neural devices. Finlay is an EPSRC Doctoral Prize Research Fellow and has secured funding from the Engineering and Physical Sciences Research Council, the University of Glasgow, and the Royal Society of Chemistry’s ScotCHEM initiative. His recent projects include the development of scalable controlled optogenetic treatments for neurological disorders and the prototyping of flexible implantable devices. He is actively supervising PhD students and has contributed to multiple research datasets and publications in the field.
