Dr. Fiona Kouyoumdjian

Biography

Fiona Kouyoumdjian is an Associate Professor in the Department of Family Medicine at McMaster University, where she also holds affiliations as an Adjunct Scientist at ICES. She is a Family Physician and a Public Health Preventive Medicine Physician with a focus on epidemiology. Dr. Kouyoumdjian has a strong commitment to health equity and improving primary health care systems, backed by her extensive experience in public population health. She has completed her PhD at the University of Toronto, as well as her MD from Dalhousie University. Additionally, she holds a Master of Public Health from the Johns Hopkins Bloomberg School of Public Health and an Honors AB from Brown University. Dr. Kouyoumdjian has undertaken postgraduate training in Public Health and Preventive Medicine and has completed her Family Medicine Residency Program, along with a CIHR Postdoctoral Fellowship at St. Michael's Hospital.
