Biography

Flavio Rezende was born in Rio de Janeiro. He completed his Ph.D. at the University of São Paulo and his residency in ophthalmology at the University of Rio de Janeiro. He then accomplished his fellowship in vitreoretinal surgery at McGill University and his post-doctorate at the Université de Montréal. After six years of practice in Brazil, he decided to settle in Montreal in 2009. He is also the responsible surgeon for the Argus retinal implant in Quebec.
