Biography

Florence Ashley is an Assistant Professor in the Faculty of Law and an Adjunct Assistant Professor in the Faculty of Medicine & Dentistry at the University of Alberta, where they also contribute to the John Dossetor Health Ethics Centre. Their work is recognized by various international bodies including the Supreme Court of Canada and the United Nations. Florence actively engages in public discourse on feminist and LGBTQ issues, sharing their expertise through op-eds and as a member of several organizations advocating for civil liberties and health equity.
