Dr. Florian Conradi

Biography

Florian Conradi is a Visiting Professor specializing in Design Research and Critical Design at the Institute for Theater Studies at Free University of Berlin. He has extensive experience in various academic positions, including as a guest professor in International Master Integrated Design at Anhalt University and in Open Science/Critical Design at the Technical University of Berlin. Since 2022, he leads a research group focused on Design, Diversity, and New Commons at the University of the Arts Berlin and the Weizenbaum Institute, and has published numerous works in design theory, exploring topics such as performative design, and critical making. His education includes a Doctorate from the University of the Arts Berlin in Design Research. Conradi's research interests encompass methodological development in design and arts education, with a commitment to transdisciplinary approaches that bridge theory and practice across diverse fields. He actively participates in seminars and workshops that challenge conventional narratives about design and technology, fostering critical engagement with more-than-human design practices.
