Biography

Frances Doyle is a mental health researcher and clinical psychologist serving as a Senior Lecturer in the Department of Psychological Sciences at Macquarie University. Her career is dedicated to improving the mental health and wellbeing of children and adolescents. She completed her PhD in Clinical Psychology at Macquarie University in 2016, and has held various postdoctoral roles, including at the University of Sydney and Western Sydney University. Frances has been a chief investigator in Australia’s nationally-funded clinical trials network for youth mental health, entitled Growing Minds Australia, and is actively involved in the Parenting and Family Research Alliance, which aims to advance science and practice in evidence-based parenting support. Her research interests focus on understanding the developmental pathways to wellbeing and mental health issues in young people, emphasizing the role of parental support. In addition to her academic responsibilities, Frances has actively engaged with the community as a science communicator, participating in public talks and interviews to promote mental health awareness and access to evidence-based interventions.
