Biography

Frances Thielman holds a PhD in English from Texas A&M University and a certificate in Women's and Gender Studies. Her primary field of expertise is Victorian literature, with subspecialties in medicine, literature, ecocriticism, and the history of sanitation infrastructure. Thielman is a College Reading Learning Association certified Master Tutor and has worked as a writing consultant in writing centers across the country for nine years.
