Biography

Francesca Boem is an Honorary Lecturer in the Department of Electrical and Electronic Engineering at Imperial College London. She received a Master of Science degree (cum laude) in Management Engineering in 2009 and a Ph.D. in Information Engineering in 2013 from the University of Trieste, Italy. After her doctorate, she worked as a Postdoc in the Machine Learning Group at the University of Trieste from 2013 to 2014. Boem was a Research Associate in the Department of Electrical and Electronic Engineering at Imperial College London from 2014 to 2018, focusing on the Control Power Research Group. She contributed to the EU H2020-WIDESPREAD-TEAMING project, which is a strategic partnership between the University of Cyprus and Imperial College London. In 2018, she was awarded an Imperial College Research Fellowship and subsequently appointed as a Lecturer at University College London. Boem is a member of the IFAC Technical Committee 6.4 and serves as an Associate Editor for the IEEE Control System Society Conference and the EUCA Conference Editorial Board.
