Biography

Francesca Froy is a Lecturer in the Master’s Sustainable Urban Development program at the University of Oxford and a Fellow of Kellogg College. She serves as an Honorary Lecturer at the Bartlett School of Planning and is also a Senior Research Fellow at the Bartlett School of Architecture. Francesca's career spans over twenty years in policy analysis and delivery. In her research and teaching, Francesca focuses on urban morphology, including the spatial organization of cities, and explores factors influencing economic diversification and complexity within urban settings, particularly in relation to sustainable and regenerative economies. Her work investigates how local policy makers collaborate to govern urban economic and spatial complexities. She welcomes prospective doctoral students whose research interests align with hers, particularly in themes related to urban economies, local economic development, and circular economies.
