Francesca Storici is a distinguished professor in the School of Biological Sciences at Georgia Tech, where she joined the faculty in 2007. Born in Trieste, Italy, she graduated from the University of Trieste with a degree in Biology. Her prolific research interests focus on genome stability, DNA repair, and gene targeting. She also investigates ribonucleotides embedded in DNA, RNA-driven DNA repair modifications, and the mechanisms of genomic stability and instability, as well as genome engineering. Francesca has received the title of Distinguished Cancer Scientist from the Georgia Research Alliance in recognition of her accomplishments in the field.
