Francesco Monticone is an Associate Professor in the Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering at Cornell University. His current research interests include applied electromagnetics, metamaterials, metasurfaces, and theoretical and computational nanophotonics, focusing on innovative aspects of wave interaction with engineered materials. Recent research topics include passive radiative cooling, wireless energy transfer, and metasurface-based flat optics.
