Biography

Francesco Regazzoni received a Master's degree in Computer Engineering from Politecnico di Milano, Italy, followed by a Master of Advanced Studies in Embedded Systems Design and a PhD in Computer Science from Università della Svizzera italiana. He has served as a senior researcher at the Faculty of Informatics at Università della Svizzera italiana and completed a postdoctoral research position at the Crypto Group of Université Catholique de Louvain in Belgium. Regazzoni has held visiting researcher roles at NEC Labs America, EPFL in Switzerland, and NTU in Singapore. He has published one book and over 100 papers in peer-reviewed international journals and conference proceedings. His research interests focus on security in embedded cyber-physical systems, side channel attacks, post-quantum cryptography, electronic design automation security, hardware trojans, random number generator security, artificial intelligence, and approximated computing. Additionally, he has conducted research in operating systems and hardware/software co-design.
