Dr. Francis Longstaff

Biography

Francis Longstaff is a Certified Public Accountant (CPA) and Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) with extensive expertise in finance. He held the position of Head of Fixed Income Derivative Research at Salomon Brothers Inc. and has conducted research at the Chicago Board of Trade and Deloitte and Touche. His research areas include fixed income markets, derivative markets, credit risk, computational finance, and liquidity effects in financial markets. Longstaff has published nearly 70 articles in both academic and practitioner journals, with his valuation models widely used across Wall Street and in global financial markets. He frequently presents at seminars and conferences, sharing insights on risk management and market dynamics. Longstaff obtained his Ph.D. in Finance from the University of Chicago and holds multiple degrees from the University of Utah, including a B.A. in Accounting and an MBA.
