Biography

Francis Richard has been a community pharmacist in Montreal since 2015 and holds a certification in medication therapy management (BCMTMS). He became a clinical assistant professor at the Faculty of Pharmacy at the Université de Montréal in 2022 after serving as a tutor and laboratory manager since 2016. His primary teaching involves professional practice laboratories for the PharmD program. He is engaged in several modernization projects for the laboratories, including immersive and virtual simulation, and participates in various faculty committees. Richard is a member of the admission committee for the Ordre des pharmaciens du Québec (OPQ) and the regional committee on pharmaceutical services in Montreal. He is also involved in continuing education for pharmacists, presenting and reviewing multiple conferences and webinars for organizations like SACS-LEAF, Pharmascience, BMS, Pfizer, and mdBriefCase, as well as writing or reviewing several articles for Québec Pharmacie. Furthermore, he has acted as an expert in community pharmacy for the OPQ disciplinary council and contributed to a pilot project for a pharmacy tele-expertise platform with TherAppX.
