Biography

Francis M. Ulgado is currently an Associate Professor and the Faculty Research Director at the Center for International Business Education and Research (CIBER) at the College of Business, Georgia Institute of Technology. He earned his PhD in International Business from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign and holds an MA and MBA from the University of Hawaii at Manoa. Professor Ulgado has published in various scholarly journals, including the International Marketing Review and the Journal of International Marketing. At Georgia Tech, he has developed and taught courses in International Marketing, Strategic Marketing, Consumer Behavior, and Marketing Management, for both undergraduate and graduate programs. His research interests include international marketing, cross-cultural consumer behavior, and multinational firm behavior, among others. He has provided consulting services to companies such as Marriott and participated in executive education programs. Professor Ulgado is also active in academic service, serving on editorial boards for multiple journals and as a member of professional organizations such as the Academy of International Business and the American Marketing Association.
