Generate a tailored SOP for Dr. Francisco Alvarado. Improve your application with a focused, well-structured draft.
Francisco Alvarado graduated from Harbin Institute of Technology in the Summer of 2021 with an MSci in Chemistry. He is currently working on his Ph.D. in the Microscopy group at the University of Warwick under the supervision of Prof. Richard Beanland. His research interests focus on III-V antimonides, known for their excellent physical properties and their potential applications in new memory technologies, middle and far-infrared quantum cascade lasers, and thermophotovoltaic cells. Francisco aims to use Electron Microscopy techniques to understand the origins of defects and their effects, such as interfacial atomic segregation and electronic structure modifications due to strain relief at interfaces. He is dedicated to addressing the challenges of achieving high-quality functional structures in these materials.
Includes General, Mechanical, Civil, Electrical, Biomedical, and Manufacturing Engineering. Most programs fall under English Band A.
