Franco Manzi, a priest of the Diocese of Milan, obtained his licentiate and doctorate in Biblical Sciences from the Pontifical Biblical Institute in Rome (1991-1996) and a doctorate in Theology with a specialization in Mariology from the Pontifical Theological Faculty 'Marianum' in Rome (1999). Since 1997, he has been teaching Introduction to the New Testament, New Testament Exegesis, and Biblical Hebrew at the Parallel Section of the Theological Faculty of Northern Italy at the Archdiocesan Seminary of Milan, where he has been a full professor since 2016 and served two terms as Section Director (2012-2020). He teaches Pauline Literature at the Higher Institute of Religious Sciences in Milan (since 2006) and courses on the Old and New Testament in the licentiate program at the Theological Faculty of Northern Italy (since 2000) as well as at the Theological Faculty of Lugano (since 2020). Since 2006, he has been the ecclesiastical censor of the Diocese, and in 2024, he was appointed by Pope Francis as a consultor of the Dicastery for the Doctrine of the Faith. A well-known lecturer, he collaborates with numerous biblical exegesis, theology, liturgy, and pastoral journals and has authored around fifty books.
