Biography

Franco Ruzzenenti is an Assistant Professor at the University of Groningen, specializing in the fields of Complex Systems, Network Theory, Energetics, and Energy Modeling. His work also encompasses Industrial Ecology, the Rebound Effect, Finite Time Thermodynamics, Energy Efficiency, Transport Networks, and Energy Markets. As the Programme Director for the MSc in Energy & Environmental Sciences, he focuses on integrating interdisciplinary approaches to promote sustainability and efficiency in energy systems. His research aims to understand the complexities of energy interactions within different systems and proposes innovative solutions to enhance energy use efficiency. Franco is associated with the Energy & Sustainability Institute Groningen, where he contributes to educational development in energy-related disciplines. He is actively involved in promoting advanced understanding in the field through his research initiatives and collaboration with industry partners.
