Franco Sassi holds a Chair in International Health Policy Economics and serves as the Director of the Centre for Health Economics Policy Innovation (CHEPI). Franco obtained his doctorate in health economics from the University of London and held an adjunct professor position at Université de Montréal. Additionally, he has held visiting positions at several universities in the United States, including the University of California at Berkeley, Harvard University, and the University of California, San Francisco. He was awarded the 2000-01 Harkness Fellowship in Health Care Policy by the Commonwealth Fund.
