Biography

François Bar is a professor of Communication and Spatial Sciences at USC Annenberg. His research and teaching explore the social and economic impacts of information technologies, with a specific focus on telecommunication policy and user-driven innovation. He is an associate dean for Faculty Affairs. Bar’s recent work examines the potential of information technology for economic, social, and cultural development in various regions, including East Africa, Latin America, and South Los Angeles.
