François Pomerleau began his research career working with the Canadian Space Agency and the European Space Agency during his studies in computer engineering at the University of Sherbrooke. He earned his master's degree from the same university in 2009 after a stint at EPFL in Switzerland, where he worked on a prototype for an autonomous vehicle. Since September 2017, he has been a professor in the Department of Computer Science and Software Engineering at Laval University.
