Frank de Vocht is a Professor of Epidemiology at the University of Bristol. He joined the Centre for Public Health, part of the Population Health Sciences Bristol Medical School, in 2014. He received his PhD from Utrecht University in the Netherlands and subsequently worked at the International Agency for Research on Cancer in Lyon, France, and the Centre for Epidemiology and Centre for Occupational and Environmental Health at the University of Manchester before coming to Bristol. His current research interests focus on evaluating natural experiments in public health—specifically, the impact of local policies—and assessing the effects of ionizing and non-ionizing radiation on human health. He is a member of national and international radiation protection expert groups, including the International Commission on Non-Ionizing Radiation Protection and the Health Council of the Netherlands.
