Biography

Frank Korosec is a medical physicist specializing in MRI. He serves as the Director of Research Resources and the Director of Clinical MRI Physics at the University of Wisconsin-Madison. In his role, he coordinates and facilitates the acquisition, utilization, and siting of imaging equipment housed within the Wisconsin Institutes for Medical Imaging (WIMR) facility. He also oversees quality assurance for MRI scanners and aids in the development of clinical MR imaging protocols while participating in strategic planning for upgrades and acquisitions of new MRI and MR-related equipment at the University of Wisconsin Hospital and Clinics (UWHC) and WIMR. His research interests include MR angiography and fast MR imaging. Additionally, he teaches the physical principles of MRI to medical physics students, radiology residents, fellows, and faculty.
