Biography

Frans Oort is a full professor in Methods Statistics at the University of Amsterdam. His research focuses on statistical modelling, measurement issues, and the applications of statistics in psychological and educational research. His ongoing research investigates the integration of SEM with multi-level models and generalized linear models, focusing on unbiased measurement of psychological attributes within educational research contexts. Oort teaches statistics and research methodology at both bachelor and master's levels, covering topics like exploratory factor analysis, multivariate statistics, and longitudinal data analysis.
