Biography

Franziska Kuhnert is a research fellow at the University of Western Australia in the ARC Centre of Plant Energy Biology. Originally from Germany, she earned her PhD in Biology from the Institute of Plant Biochemistry at Heinrich-Heine University Düsseldorf, where she worked under the supervision of Andreas Weber. Her research interests are primarily centered on plant metabolism, particularly the investigation of organellar transport proteins that regulate cellular metabolism and plant growth adaptation. Her work has significant implications for improving plant resilience and nutritional value.
