Biography

Franziska Schmidt is a faculty member in the Department of Mathematics at Friedrich-Alexander-University, specializing in Applied Mathematics. Her research focuses on the mathematical modeling of phenomena described by partial differential equations, particularly in the context of continuum mechanics. This includes a keen interest in nonlinear coupled systems that incorporate stochastic parameters. Her scientific activities cover the derivation of models, mathematical investigation, and the design and rigorous analysis of numerical methods.
