Master Drummer Frederick Kwasi Dunyo, born in Ewe village Dagbamete, Volta Region, Ghana, West Africa, began drumming as a small boy. He has drummed, danced, taught, and directed extensively in a variety of contexts across Ghana, the USA, Canada, Bermuda, and Taiwan. Kwasi is a member of the faculties at York University in Toronto, the Royal Conservatory of Music, and the Toronto District School Board. He has performed and conducted workshops at various universities throughout North America.
