Biography

Fred Morstatter is a Research Associate Professor at the University of Southern California’s Information Sciences Institute (ISI). His research centers on social network analysis, misinformation detection, cultural modeling, machine learning, and fairness in AI systems. His publications focus on detecting polarization and cyberbullying within online environments. Morstatter is also the Principal Investigator for ISI’s project under DARPA’s Habitus program and has served as Co-Principal Investigator for DARPA’s INCAS SCORE programs. He has been a key personnel member in IARPA’s HFC program. He obtained his Ph.D. in Computer Science from Arizona State University.
