Biography

Frédéric Grillot obtained a Master of Science (M.S.) from the University of Dijon, France, in 1999, followed by a Doctorate (Ph.D.) from the University of Besançon, France, in 2003. He then obtained the Habilitation à Diriger des Recherches from the University of Paris, France, in 2012. He joined Télécom Paris as a faculty member in 2012, after holding positions at the Centre des Nanosciences et Nanotechnologies (C2N) at Université Paris Saclay, France, from 2003, and at the Institut National des Sciences Appliquées (INSA), France, from 2004 to 2011. He has been a visiting scholar at the University of New Mexico, USA, from 2008 to 2009, at the University of California at Los Angeles, USA, in 2017, and at the University of California at Santa Barbara from 2023 to 2024. He has also visited Politecnico di Milano and Politecnico di Torino, Italy, in 2023 and 2024, respectively. Throughout his career, Professor Grillot has published over 150 articles in scientific journals and 3 book chapters. In January 2025, he will become a research associate at the University of California, Santa Barbara.
