Biography

Fredrik Brännström is a Professor and Head of the Communication Systems Group at the Department of Electrical Engineering at Chalmers University of Technology in Gothenburg, Sweden. He holds a M.Sc. degree from Luleå University of Technology obtained in 1998, and a Ph.D. degree in Communication Theory from the Department of Computer Engineering at Chalmers University, completed in 2004. He has been actively involved in research and teaching, receiving awards such as the 2013 IEEE Communication Theory Workshop Poster Award and the 2014 Best Teacher Award from the Department of Signals and Systems. Brännström collaborates part-time as a Research Scientist with Neural Propulsion Systems, Inc., focused on autonomous sensing platforms. His research interests encompass algorithms, resource allocation, synchronization, antenna concepts, and protocol design for vehicular communication systems, alongside applications in coding.
