Biography

Frieder Lucklum is a professor and head of the Centre for Acoustic-Mechanical Microsystems (CAMM) at the Technical University of Denmark (DTU). He has a PhD in Mechatronics from Johannes Kepler University Linz, Austria. His research interests include elastic acoustic metamaterials, phononic crystals, electroacoustic transducers, and ultrasonic sensor analysis systems. Lucklum has also held prominent positions, such as a senior research associate and manager of additive manufacturing technologies at the University of Bremen, as well as a senior scientist at the Austrian Center of Competence in Mechatronics. He has significantly contributed to the field through various leadership roles, including being a tutorial co-chair for IEEE Sensors conferences and a senior member of the IEEE. He has extensive experience in teaching and supervision, mentoring students in engineering acoustics, and has been actively involved in organizing international conferences related to his work.
