Biography

Fritz E. Kühn received his doctoral degree from the Technical University of Munich (TUM) in Germany in 1994. He worked as a postdoctoral research associate at Texas A&M University in the USA. After completing his habilitation at TUM in 1996, he transitioned into a lecturer role at TUM Asia, a joint venture with the National University of Singapore (NUS), in 2002. In 2005, he became a Principal Investigator at the Instituto Technologico e Nuclear (ITN) in Sacavem, Portugal. In 2006, he returned to Germany and was appointed Professor of Molecular Catalysis at TUM. Kühn has lectured as a Visiting Professor at Nanjing Technological University in China and at NUS in Singapore. He has held several administrative roles, including Dean of Internationalization for the department and Dean of Graduate Studies. His research focuses on organometallic chemistry, molecular catalysis, and bio-inspired medicinal chemistry. He has authored or co-authored over 500 scientific publications and holds approximately 20 patents, with an h-index of 63.
