Biography

Funmilola Ayotunde is an Assistant Professor at the University of Victoria Faculty of Law, where her academic focus encompasses the intersection of business and human rights, human rights law, and labor employment law. With a robust educational background that includes a PhD and LLM from the University of Saskatchewan, she significantly contributes to the discourse on sustainable natural resources development. Her research interests delve into transnational human rights frameworks, particularly within the context of Canada and the Middle East North Africa (MENA) region. Ayotunde has an active role in graduate supervision, guiding students through critical subjects such as labor law, business human rights, and accountability in multinational corporations.
