Biography

Furat M. George received his dental degree from the University of Baghdad College of Dentistry in 1998 and completed his prosthodontic specialty degree at the University of Michigan School of Dentistry in 2007. He was a full-time faculty member in the Department of Biologic and Materials Sciences and Prosthodontics from 2007 to 2021, where he co-directed the pre-doctoral implant program. Currently, he is involved with the University of Michigan School of Dentistry's Implant Committee and the Materials, Instruments, Forms, Fees Committee. Additionally, Dr. George is a member of the American College of Prosthodontists, the International Association for Dental Research, and the American Association for Dental Research. He is also a fellow of the International Congress of Oral Implantologists. His research interests focus on dental implants, the use of dental ceramics, and CAD/CAM technology in dentistry. Dr. George maintains a practice in Farmington Hills, MI, specializing in limited prosthodontics and dental implants. He has published multiple articles and abstracts in scientific journals and presentations at meetings, and he serves as a reviewer for various scientific journals.
