Dr. Fuzhan Nasiri

Biography

Fuzhan Nasiri is a professor in the Department of Building, Civil, and Environmental Engineering at Concordia University. He previously held positions as an associate professor and assistant professor in the same department. With a solid background in Environmental Systems Engineering, Nasiri's research interests span across Facilities Management, Environmental Engineering, Energy Systems Engineering, Risk, Resilience and Reliability Analysis, Infrastructure Management, and Sustainable Cities and Communities. Moreover, he emphasizes Life Cycle Analysis in his work. Nasiri's interdisciplinary approach to research combines systems modeling and analysis, addressing the interactions between built environment systems and societal impacts with a focus on sustainability. His academic background includes a PhD, MSc, and BSc in Industrial Systems Engineering from Sharif University of Technology. Nasiri has been an active member of several renowned research groups and has collaborated with institutions, such as University College London and Yale University, prior to joining Concordia. He has received numerous awards for his contributions to research and teaching, highlighting his commitment to excellence in higher education and innovation.
