Dr. G Brunstad

Biography

G. Eric Brunstad Jr. is a Martin R. Flug Visiting Lecturer and Senior Research Scholar at Yale Law School. He holds a J.S.D. from Yale Law School (2014), an L.L.M. from Yale Law School (2011), a J.D. from the University of Michigan Law School (1986), and a B.A. from Connecticut College (1983). Brunstad's teaching encompasses a diverse array of subjects including bankruptcy, secured transactions, advanced contracts in commercial law, advanced business reorganizations, international insolvency law, as well as historical and theoretical aspects of secured transactions. His research interests align with his teaching and include bankruptcy, commercial law, jurisprudence, and the study of markets. Brunstad has an extensive litigation background, having argued 11 cases before the U.S. Supreme Court on matters involving the First Amendment, Article III of the Federal Constitution, bankruptcy, taxation, the Commerce Clause, statutory interpretation, jurisdiction, and arbitration.
