Digital platforms hold huge potential to address societal challenges. By providing essential resources like software modules and data, these platforms drive innovation within the industry. My research primarily focuses on the design of digital platforms, driven by the emergence of new technological paradigms in platform design including multi-platform constellations, data platforms, and decentralized platforms. My mission is to advance the field through four key areas: developing new generations of digital platforms such as data platforms, creating design-relevant knowledge for open platforms, considering new technological paradigms including decentralization, and moving beyond established examples like smartphones and game consoles to explore new engineering domains such as health and mobility. My academic background includes a PhD from Delft University of Technology, where my dissertation focused on governing mobile service innovation and co-evolving value networks. Additionally, I hold an MSc from the same institution in Systems Engineering, Policy Analysis, and Management with a specialization in Information Communication Technology.
Requirements apply generally across engineering and science master programs. Specific tracks like Architecture require a digital portfolio.
