Biography

Gabor Szekelyhidi received his PhD from Imperial College London in 2006. He has held postdoctoral positions at Imperial College London, Harvard University, and Columbia University, and he is currently a faculty member at Northwestern University, having joined in 2022. His research primarily focuses on geometric analysis and complex differential geometry, with significant contributions towards understanding canonical geometric objects. His work includes the investigation of extremal Kähler-Einstein metrics on projective manifolds and the study of minimal hypersurfaces and special Lagrangian submanifolds. Szekelyhidi was awarded an NSF CAREER grant in 2014 and was an invited speaker at the 2014 International Congress of Mathematicians.
