Biography

Gabriel Bámgbóṣé is an Assistant Professor specializing in African Comparative Literature. He has previously taught at the Department of English at Tai Solarin University of Education and the Africana Studies Program at New York University. He was a Fulbright Foreign Language Teaching Assistant in Yorùbá and has also engaged in various research projects focusing on poetry, comparative poetics, and the intellectual contributions of African women poets in diverse linguistic contexts. His research interests include Black modernist poetics, African women's poetry, and African folklore, among other areas. Bámgbóṣé's work has been supported by various fellowships and he is actively engaged in exploring the intersections of Black feminist, postcolonial, and decolonial thoughts. He is a published scholar and poet, with contributions to numerous academic journals and literary magazines, and has authored a collection of poems titled 'Something Happened After the Rain.'
