Biography

Gabriel Brammer's research involves studying the formation and evolution of galaxies over cosmic time, focusing on relatively nearby massive, evolved objects as well as infant galaxies at the current limit of the observable Universe. He aims to discover and characterize these objects by exploiting large imaging and spectroscopic surveys using the Hubble Space Telescope, and is actively involved in developing next-generation projects as a Guaranteed Time Observer for Early Release Science programs with the James Webb Space Telescope, which was launched in 2021.
