Biography

Gabriela Gutierrez-Huerter O is a Senior Lecturer in International Management at King’s Business School and a Fellow of the Higher Education Academy. She received her PhD from the University of Nottingham. Her research lies at the intersection of international business, corporate social responsibility, and comparative institutional analysis. She teaches Corporate Social Responsibility, Business Ethics, and Sustainability at the undergraduate level and has published in journals such as the Journal of International Business Studies and Research in Global Strategic Management. Gabriela’s research focuses on cross-national transfer and the translation of organizational practices by multinational enterprises, modern slavery, business and human rights, and sustainability in business schools. As a member of the OS4Future movement, she advocates for climate action in academia. Gabriela has been involved in discussions on modern slavery in the UK construction sector and is a member of the British Standards Institution's technical committee on modern slavery. Her contributions impact both academic and practitioner events, highlighting the need for organizational changes in response to modern slavery issues.
