Gabriele Bavota received a cum laude Laurea in Computer Science from the University of Salerno, Italy, and completed his PhD in Computer Science at the same university in 2013. He is a Principal Investigator for the DEVINTA ERC Starting Grant, focusing on the applications of Deep Learning in Software Engineering, and has been recognized with multiple best and distinguished paper awards at major conferences. His roles have included Program Co-Chair for ICPC 2016 and SCAM 2016, and he remains actively involved in organizing committees for various international software engineering conferences.
