Dr. Gabriele Di Luozzo

Biography

Gabriele Di Luozzo is an Associate Professor of Cardiac Surgery at Yale University School of Medicine, specializing in complex aortic diseases. With over 16 years of experience, he is known for his work in aortic dissection, thoracoabdominal aortic aneurysms, and valve repair surgeries. He completed his Aortic Surgery Fellowship at Mount Sinai Hospital and has undergone extensive training as a Cardiothoracic Resident and General Surgery Resident. His research focuses on innovative surgical techniques, gene expression in aortic repairs, and the progression of aortic diseases, utilizing national registries to examine differences between aortic valve types. He is a member of several prominent surgical societies including the American Association for Thoracic Surgery and the Society of Thoracic Surgeons, and frequently collaborates with other leading experts in the field to advance cardiac care.
