Biography

Gabrielle Ceraldi is an Assistant Professor in the Department of English and Writing Studies at Western University. She completed her B.A. at Queen's University in 1993, followed by an M.A. from the University of Manitoba in 1995, and earned her Ph.D. from the University of Western Ontario in 2000. Ceraldi’s research focuses on Children's Literature, and she is particularly interested in the discourses surrounding infant care novels, with significant attention to the works of L.M. Montgomery and J.K. Rowling’s Harry Potter series. Her scholarship also explores Holocaust literature, especially the representations of these narratives directed toward children. Ceraldi's teaching and research are characterized by a commitment to fostering critical inquiry and engaging students with contemporary literary themes.
