Gabrielle Hecht is a Professor of History at Stanford University and a Research Associate at the Wits Institute for Social and Economic Research in South Africa. With a PhD in History and Sociology of Science from the University of Pennsylvania, she has a rich academic background that includes a prominent teaching career, during which she developed graduate courses addressing topics such as the Anthropocene and Technopolitics.
