Biography

Gail Kaiser is a Professor at Columbia University's Data Science Institute and the Department of Computer Science. Her research interests focus primarily on software engineering, specifically in building systems with an emphasis on static and dynamic program analysis techniques aimed at enhancing software reliability and security. Kaiser received her PhD from Carnegie Mellon University and her ScB from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology. Her notable work includes the investigation of testing “non-testable” programs and the development of collaborative environments for computational scientists, showing her commitment to bridging gaps in software development for scientific applications.
