Dr. Gail Krantzberg

Biography

Gail Krantzberg is a Professor Emeritus at the Walter G. Booth School of Engineering Practice and Technology at McMaster University. She specializes in Engineering Public Policy, contributing significantly to the field through her scholarly works and teaching activities. Gail holds both an M.Sc. and Ph.D. from the University of Toronto, where she focused on environmental science and freshwaters. Her professional background includes working with the Ontario Ministry of Environment since 1988, where she gained expertise in decision-making processes, environmental policy, and environmental management. Krantzberg's work also emphasizes natural resource management, making her a key figure in the development of Canada's Master's Degree in Engineering Public Policy. She has conducted research in aquatic ecotoxicity and served as a PostDoctoral Fellow in contaminated sediment assessment and remediation. Her contributions to academia and public policy highlight her commitment to sustainable environmental practices.
