Dr. Gail Spiridigliozzi

Biography

Gail Spiridigliozzi is a Professor in the Department of Psychiatry and Behavioral Sciences and the Department of Pediatrics at Duke University. Her research focuses on cholinergic therapy in children and adolescents, with particular emphasis on fragile X syndrome and cognitive development among children with infantile-onset Pompe disease treated with enzyme replacement therapy. She has been recognized for her work in understanding cognitive and neurological pathologies associated with these conditions and has received multiple grants from organizations such as Genzyme Corporation and the National Institutes of Health for her research endeavors. Spiridigliozzi has held various academic positions, evolving from Assistant Clinical Professor to her current role as a full Professor.
